Where did the time go???

Today June 5th, is my youngest son, Tyler's 17th birthday!!! Happy Birthday Ty! It feels like just yesterday I was holding him in my arms for the first time. From 7lbs 3oz / 20 inches long and a full head of hair to 6'5" 230 lbs and a full head of hair still. In a blink of an eye he went from a toddling tow-headed little boy full of curiosity to a young man on the verge of adulthood. I've always called my boys... cowboys, but Tyler's nickname is Boot. When he was 4 he asked for a pair of cowboy boots. It was the middle of summer, but he wanted those boots.....he was going to be a cowboy. He wore those boots every day. Every morning he would come out of his bedroom with his boots on, whitey tidies and his blankie slung over his shoulder with a smile and a "mornin mom".
Ty has always had an easy going personality, a love of life and a gentleness about him. When the boys were little, the twins had a connection and always sought each other out for playtime. Tyler was my little shadow (and still likes to hang out with his old mom). He is my partner in crime and loves going to garage sales, flea markets, estate sales and thrift stores with me. He doesn't even mind getting up early! Every since Ty was a little boy, when he thinks I'm asleep, he will come into my room, kiss me on the cheek & whisper in my ear "Goodnight momma, I Love You". Without fail, he has done this every night :) I still feel a tug at my heart every time he performs this ritual of his. It's a moment that takes my breath away.
All my sons are a joy to me, each in their own way. I can't imagine what it would be like without these three wonderful young men in my life.
