Fabulous Finds & Friendship

Another "Today's Thrifty Treasures" hosted by Rhoda at Southern Hospitality. What wonderful treasures did you find? Want to see what everyone else found? Go over to Rhoda's and check it out. :) I actually didn't get a chance to go to any yard sales this weekend. I was busy painting and redecorating my front bathroom. (I hope to have those pictures soon to share with you). But, I do have some treasures to share. My best friend Martha and birthday buddy (we share the same birthday) came from California for a visit last week. Definitely too short of a visit. but, boy oh boy, did we pack in some serious shopping in those short 7 days. We started the week with
Miss Gracies Barn Sale. There was treasures everywhere!!! I didn't know where to start! Everything was displayed beautifully and well organized. After ooohing and ahhhing I finally decided on the pink & green chandy to go in my bedroom.

The second day we went to a couple of my favorite shops and I purchased two sets of shutters. The taller cream colored ones were $20 and they are going in my living room. The green ones will go in my bedroom.

Close up of Chandy........ :) I have a vintage iron birdcage stand it will hang from.

On the third day, I picked up the white iron bird for $4 and the basket on the left was $2, the basket on the right was a gift from Martha. The silver pitcher was $15 and will look nicely w/flowers in my newly painted bathroom.

On the fourth day, we went to Baker City Oregon. LOVE this little town. I had pictures to share but they were on Martha's camera and would not load onto my computer. (I am getting a new camera soon I promise). At one of the antique stores I bought the white rooster, glass jar w/silver rabbit lid, a spoon rest and little bunny for $20 total!

Close up of the silver rabbit lid. I put baby Bear's dog treats in the jar. :)

On the fifth day (I feel like I'm reciting the twelve days of Christmas!) We went to another shop, The Shabby House and I got these two pictures for $9. Love them!

Also at the Shabby House I bought this cute little picture for $4. The little easel was $1 at a yard sale.

I got a few more little items that I will share next week. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend of thrifting and a beautiful Mother's Day!

  10. Hi, Toni! Sorry about the blank post above.
I have always wanted a pair of shutters, but haven't gotten any yet. One day...
I think I may have a silver pitcher just like that in a box of things from my parents! I need to dig it out, and see.
You have got some great finds here.
